Beresford Contracting is based on Dew Pond Lane Industrial estate, which is located in Buxton, Derbyshire. This location allows our team to be on hand to help in several local quarries almost instantly.
Over the past 10 years, Beresfords has created an adaptive reactive team within Tunstead quarry, 24/7, 365 days a year; somebody is always on-site.
Our team is divided amongst the industrial cleaning, plant hire, site maintenance and general daily support team within quarries such as Tunstead and Topley Pike. Plus, our team of men who are based off-site on civil construction works in various locations. We work with many local companies, such as Nestle Waters, Derbyshire Dales Council and corporations like the Devonshire Group.
We seek to develop the team within the civil and construction side and are always open for new people to join us; if you feel you have something to offer, we would love to hear from you.
Site Investment
Our site at Dew Pond Lane has been developed to be our head office where all our daily running is based.
The office-based team on site consists of members who manage everything from HR, Health & Safety, Tender Estimations to invoicing and accounts—alongside the large double garage, developed with a one-stop-shop in mind for all employees.
The location allows our employees to stop by for new PPE gear, toolbox talks, site inductions, and vehicle maintenance.
We are proud to have developed the site from a rough, overgrown field in 2016 to a professional base we now call home and into the future.
This investment in the site initially came as a must-do from the company director David Beresford; without the solid base in a great location, we might not have been able to develop the team.
Site Development
As a company that has grown over the years and is still run daily by family members, we are confident that our ongoing investment within our site, employees and machinery shall allow the team to continue to grow.
The site at Dew Pond Lane was once an overgrown field, with a large slope that meant the site looked unappealing and rather poor sat amongst the neighbouring industrial buildings.
The first job was to make the site secure and safe; only after this were we able to level the site and build onto it, which makes it what it is today.
The large garage at Dew Pond Lane has been recently fitted with a new custom made 40ft long pit and lastest brake tester. Having this on-site allows the garage-based team to work on machinery daily to ensure all elements run safely.
Our office-based team shall shortly be upgraded from their double cabin office on-site into the new purpose-built office block that adjoins the garage already erected on site.
The new office block shall consist of a conference room, offices, new kitchen and training room where we can comfortably host our toolbox talks, health and safety management and much more.
This development on the site has pushed our team into working on larger projects and opening Beresford Contracting up to an exciting future.
